Our Story

I founded SolutionsHub to challenge the status quo. We began with a small group of specialists who had spent years inside regulatory bodies and operational roles.

We understood the pressure operators face, the scrutiny regulators apply, and the disconnect that often sits between them.

Over time, that small team developed into a leading regulatory advisory practice, supporting businesses across multiple jurisdictions and emerging technology sectors.

Our evolution has always followed a single through-line; Anticipate what the industry needs next, and build for it before the market demands it.

That mindset led to pioneering work in blockchain licensing, new operational models, and forward-looking compliance frameworks that now underpin our advisory services.

Lee Hills Chief Executive Officer Lee is an Isle of Man GSC approved director with nearly 2 decades experience in the egaming sector. Lee is a Non-Executive Board Member of Digital Isle of Man. Highlights of Lee’s career include obtaining the world’s first blockchain gambling licence and guiding SolutionsHub to winning two EGR B2B Awards.	Nick Wright Chief Operating Officer Nick is a former Gambling Inspector and qualified Data Protection Practitioner. Nick obtained the Isle of Man’s first decentralised sportsbook licence and has assisted businesses in every betting vertical. Nick has secured licences in many jurisdictions including the Isle of Man, UK, Tobique, Anjouan, Curaçao, and Kahnawake.	Emma Shilling Head of Compliance Emma is a gambling compliance expert and qualified Data Protection Practitioner. Emma joined SolutionsHub from esports-betting operator Unikrn, where she was Senior Compliance Officer and DMLRO until its successful sale to Entain. Emma provides compliance training and support to the c-suite and operational teams.
Steven Welsh Director of Gaming Services Steven has spent almost two decades in financial services, focusing on egaming and blockchain businesses. He has assisted some of the industry's biggest names with licensing, operations, public listings, and successful exits. A GSC-approved Director and Operations Manager, Steven leads the delivery of SolutionsHub’s award-winning service suite.	James O'Kelly Head of Corporate Development James leads high-impact strategic initiatives that drive business growth, market expansion, and service innovation, working closely with the Board of Directors. He identifies and cultivates key partnerships while spearheading the development of innovative product lines aligned with the company’s long-term vision.	Nick Bowden Head of Regulatory Affairs Nick is a former Gambling Inspector with deep expertise in regulatory interpretation and policy application. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of legislation and the regulator’s perspective, Nick plays a key role across the business, troubleshooting complex issues and guiding clients in striking the right balance between innovation and compliance.
Zita O'Kelly-Hills Head of Operations A former legal professional, Zita oversees and enhances daily business operations while collaborating closely with the Board to drive key strategic initiatives. She plays a pivotal role in implementing operational best practices, adopting innovative new technologies, and ensuring alignment with the group’s long-term vision and objectives.	Robert Penfold Head of Internal Audit Former Director of Internal Audit & Risk at Playtech plc, Robert brings with him more than two decades of high-level experience in governance, risk, audit, and compliance across global gaming and financial services organisations. member of Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and Certified ISO 27001 ISMS Internal Auditor.	Frank Douthwaite Director of Governance Frank is a governance expert and qualified Trust & Estate Practitioner. Frank previously managed a broad portfolio of licenced and unlicensed gaming companies, serving as GSC approved Director & Operations Manager. Frank holds FSA notified controlled functions and is a GSC approved director and operations manager.
Chantelle Turton Regulatory Compliance Manager Chantelle is an experienced regulatory compliance professional with a background in gambling supervision and risk management. Chantelle previously served as an Inspector at the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, where she played a key role in overseeing and enforcing gambling regulations.	Matt Jones Corporate Governance Manager Matt is the former compliance support for an African focused B2C and brings 10 years experience in corporate administration and governance. Matthew collaborates closely with boards and compliance teams to maintain high standards of corporate governance and transparency.	Alex Myers Head of Training Alex brings hands-on experience in AML/CFT/CPF, risk management, and regulatory strategy across multiple jurisdictions. His approach is practical, informed by direct engagement with regulators, and focused on empowering teams through tailored, bespoke, actionable learning.
Hayley Ashton Compliance Manager Hayley Ashton is a Compliance Manager specialising in AML/CFT, governance and risk management. With experience in eGaming, banking, and corporate services, and holding ICA Diplomas in both AML and GRC, she supports licence holders in building robust compliance frameworks.
